Your Beautiful Heart

Lauren Scruggs Kennedy had a crazy accident a couple of years ago when she was hit by the propeller of a plane.  The newly married Lauren never lost track of her faith throughout this tragic accident.

She now has written a lovely book called Your Beautiful Heart which helps women find their inner beauty in a world that is very secular and outer beauty focused.  Using stories from her accident, recovery and all of her life experience this book talks about issues women face everyday.

I started reading this book when it came out and it has been such a blessing in my life! I love reading stories from someone who is around my age!

I read it as a daily devotional, although sometimes I can't stop reading because it is so good and uplifting.

Thank you Lauren for sharing your stories!!!

Busy.

Sometimes, even during the busiest of days it is important to just stop for a couple of minutes and take a breather.

I have found that music helps do this during my day!

I heard this song for the first time during the Oscars this year. It is performed by Rita Ora, an artist I am new to! I think she is great.

The message is right up my alley! It is such a positive and happy song! So I thought I would share it with y'all!

ENJOY!

Tradition.

Ever since I can remember, my family has done something very special for dinner.

This is something that comes second nature to us now and that we LOVE to share with others!

We say what we are grateful for before every dinner!

This has become something that we look forward to sharing as a family and that I feel has brought us closer as a whole.

When someone is joining us for dinner for the first time, we ask them to share as well. But, we warn them that it can be for the simplest thing..I have been guilty of even saying "I'm grateful for Ketchup!"

I think just saying the words "I'm Grateful for..." has a lot of meaning, it brings up a way to think about how your day went and reminds you to always be grateful.

I hope this inspires you to share this with your loved ones too.

It is a tradition I will carry onto my own family one day!!!
